COMMERCIAL ELASTOMERIC MEMBRANE ROOFS

ELASTOMER MEMBRANE COMMERCIAL FLAT ROOF INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR

This type of roof consists of two layers of membrane that are fusion-welded together: a base layer and a finishing layer covered in fine granules. Elastomeric membrane roofs are made of modified bitumen combined with a synthetic rubber reinforced with fibreglass or polyester fibre.

This membrane is either affixed with special adhesives or mechanically attached to create a durable, weatherproof surface that can withstand the elements as well as UV damage. This type of roof is also chemical-resistant and resists tearing and perforation.

Many owners of buildings with a flat or low-pitch roof opt for elastomeric membrane roofing due to its durability. This type of membrane has proven that it can withstand all Quebec weather.

The color of your roofing membrane has an impact on its longevity

Available in several colours. Pale colours (white or grey) keep the membrane from overheating and extend the life of the roof.

*A white roof has long-term economic and environmental benefits. Because the white cladding reflects the sun’s rays rather than absorbing them, the membrane will not overheat, preventing premature deterioration and reducing air conditioning costs. This effect also helps reduce heat islands in urban areas. TPO, elastomeric and tar and gravel roofs all have white options.
